Week 31 Baby Bump

Here's my baby bump photo from this morning.

We met with baby bean's pediatrician this evening. He won't be the doctor to see the baby at the hospital but his group is right across the street from Pleasant Valley Hospital here in Camarillo. He seemed really great and their hours were perfect for us as first time parents. There is always a doctor on call and they rotate days working until 7:30 at night. We're thinking of using a delayed vaccination schedule and he was more than open to hearing our views on that.

Two weekends ago Matt put together a shelf for baby bean's closet (for books and other baby accessories).  It's really cute and fits perfectly.

While Matt handled that project, I put together a bassinet that my great friend Heather sent us all the way from WI. I saw it when I went to visit her and her new baby. She remembered that I really liked it and shipped it out. It's super cute but reminded me of all the things we'll need to "put together" or put batteries into in the next few weeks! :)

Our Nursery furniture is scheduled to be delivered this weekend (Saturday) and with delivery comes setup! Her bedding is complete and should also be arriving this week.. it's all coming together nicely.

How many Karats does your man bring home for you?

I got 12!!!!!

Farmer Matt strikes again! This is our first year growing carrots and even though the one on the end looked a little deformed, they all tasted delish! Thanks Lovie!

Nursery Update:
The closet organizer has been installed. Looks good and I know we'll be able to get way more stuff in there than just one bar and shelf. Can I just say, baby clothes hangers are ALMOST as cute as the clothes themselves! We'll be cleaning the carpets this weekend, then we just wait for the furniture to arrive.

Does this baby make me look fat?

Ha! I love this new shirt I found but it makes me look ridiculously big! I promise you, the belly isn't this big.

Let's compare:

Oh my! What happened!!!
Good news, even though the waistline has expanded to a girth I never imagined (and is only going to get bigger) mom and baby are both very healthy. Despite it's large appearance, the bump is measuring right on track and I just passed my gestational diabetes test. We heard her glorious heartbeat this morning and all is well. She's been very active the past few days... I've been feeling her more than ever. Just as I was saying how much I loved to feel her kick, my last 3 hours of work today were spent with her kicking me in the back and the right side. OUCH! Now I know what all my girlfriends who were pregnant before me were complaining about.
Despite her "love taps" I'm still loving every minute of being pregnant....
