Maddie is a Celebrity

First Mya made the Acorn (or town's local newspaper) and now Miss Maddie... front page no less! Here she is showing her talent of tube crawling while wearing her favorite heart glasses. We're sooo proud! :)

All I Want For Easter Is My Two Front Teeth...

Oh wait! I already have my two front teeth.. now if only those darn top molars would finishing coming through. Both top molars broke through last week, just as I thought we'd all go insane from lack of sleep and crabbiness. (sometimes Mommy, more than Maddie)

To help ease the pain, look what mom found! (recommended from another mommy of course)

Popsicle Mighty Minis
They aren't kidding! Each popsicle is about the size of a tube of Chapstick! Super Cute! They claim to be slow melt but...

We wore our popsicle shirt just to be safe! This is now officially her popsicle eating shirt! Eat and drip away!

We now seem to be past the tough part because the teeth have broken through. Unfortunately we both got colds due to the lack of sleep.

I never realized how hard it was to "Parent" without a voice.
Mommy whispers "Maddie get off the table"
No response
Mommy whispers louder "Maddie please get off the table"
A slight glance my way
Mommy gets a glass of water and clears her throat and whispers very quietly "who wants a snack?"
Child is immediately off the table... Who says you need to raise your voice?! :)

We're off to Underwood Farms tomorrow with Maddie's BFF, Bella and her mommy. Weather was pretty crummy today and will probably be the same tomorrow but we need to get some fresh air!

Enjoy your day!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail... he dropped off another box!

Grandma Doris and Grandpa Frank put on their little bunny ears and put this great basket together for Maddie

The highlight of the box was two Barbie movies.. Barbie Mermaidia and Barbie Fairytopia

She can't wait to try out her new watering can.. Daddy even put together a few more pots of dirt for her to plant some sunflower seeds

The pink grass was thrown aside but don't worry...

Syrah liked it!

Thanks mom & dad! She loved it and was so excited to see another box arrive with her name on it! You guys are making it tough for us to come up with stuff to put in her basket! :)

Maddie's First Ice Cream Cone

Last weekend we took Maddie out for her very first ice cream cone... she's had ice cream before but this big girl was never allowed to hold her own cone... and certainly not chocolate! (yes, I know I was probably damaging my child's development in some way) Mama is trying to let go and let her have some fun before she's all grown up!

Fun she had!

Strawberry Cards- Summertime Sweet

Look how cute these turned out... We're putting together a stationery basket for a school raffle. I think some of these will be donated for that. Wouldn't you love to win a handmade card? Be nice and you just might receive one in the mail. :)

She's not spoiled....

Yeh Right!!

A few weeks ago, we saw a Jasmine (Disney character) doll at Target and Maddie asked for it.. I told her "maybe for Easter". She kept asking about it as we walked around the store so I asked her if she'd like to call Grandma Lena and ask her for one. She was more than happy to do so! Since then, every day she has said "maybe Grandma Lena will send me a Jasmine for Easter".

Today an "Easter box" arrived addressed to little Miss Maddie herself.

The box was filled with clothes, stickers, coloring books, and candies. The first thing to come out of the box was JASMINE!

Despite her not wanting to say "Thank You" on the phone, these pictures should say everything! (of course we'll send a proper thank you card too.)

Again.. she's not spoiled! Thank you Grandma Lena & Papa!

Matt's Birthday Weekend

Last weekend was lots of fun. Matt finally had time to plant his garden. We've been getting so much rain around here.. it was overcast and cool but that works out good. We gave him his birthday gifts a few days early. New gloves, a very manly garden tool with a cerated edge for cutting open soil bags(or popping open a beverage), and a super cute garden gnome that Maddie picked out. She kept it a secret from daddy for almost a week.

In between planting his vegetables, Matt and Maddie shared some Daddy/Daughter time and they planted strawberries together. Each night they've been going out back to see how their crops are doing.

Our new garden gnome!

Maddie's Strawberries

The finished garden... corn, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, etc.
(notice the tiny garden gnome in the corner.. he's pretty small.)

While the rest of the family was outside, I was inside baking and frosting this masterpiece... lol Ok, not the prettiest and doesn't really look like it's for a daddy BUT I did make some of the buttercream frosting from scratch and tried out a new writing tool. The family thought it was delicious and that's all that matters.

No complaints here!

Happy 38th Birthday Lovie!
